Just a friendly shout out to everyone to enjoy their Easter weekend.

For the lucky few of us we get a 4-day weekend. What are your plans ??? I'm donkey deep in home renovations, and hoping to start mudding a ceiling by Sunday.

Jumping on a plane tomorrow to spend Easter with the the grand kids. Happy Easter to everyone at FBBO.

This will be the happiest day of the year - when our Lord rose from the dead so long ago. God bless everyone!

Happy Easter! I never make plans but plan on going to church since the wife will be off on Sunday. She only works two days a week but Sunday is one of them and have been talking about switching that day to something else.

Halmark's marketing, to sell more cards  chocolate eggs & bunnies
food for a BBQ, booze, churches have a/several huge masses, passing the donor plate...
if it is 100% legitimate ?
why isn't Easter on the same day ? or 'same week even' every year ?,
it's bounced around a lot, weeks different from years to year
& it (the real date, day he was actually crucified) doesn't have to be a Friday,
to be the actual date, would vary or actual Easter/resurection have to be a Sunday either
(food for thought)
that's organized religion, it's not even recognized traditionally, the same
of what it was...
& Good Friday should always bee on the exact same day he was crucified,
not necessarily a Friday either...

Eggs & a Bunny :lol:how did they come up with that stuff ?
I had fun with that stuff, with the kids though...

Easter's origins;
why isn't the exact day/'date' he was resurrected ?
it's 2nd century origins, was org. (wasn't Sunday)
not even immediately after it happened, it's a century later as a tradition
& it was then org. was the 1st day of the week of Jewish Sabbath
not being Jewish not sure of that exact day/date was either, probably varies too
(more food for thought) reflection on a day like today...

that college Theology class is paying off...

it's drifted so far way away from the original meaning, for way, way too long :praying:

Have a Great Good Friday & a Happy Easter

Happy Easter FBBO family!

I was out planting corn and had a breakdown at 5:30..so it was meant to be to catch the good Friday service. I might have nodded off for the last 5 minutes of the service.Lol
Easter Sunday we have reservations for lunch at a local place where the Lady's know how to cook! Guessing a nap will be required shortly after.
