Pulled mine today on my 69 Bee, 383. Noticed some rubber on backside of balancer coming off, old and brittle. Time to rebuild? Replace balancer? Is rubber user replaceable? Etc etc. Forgot to take a pic but can tomorrow. TIA

As Kiwi said, junk it and get a new one.
What you go with all depends on how much you want to spend and how much you care about where your parts are made.
The old trusty 'Fluidampr' is nice but pricey. The 440Source makes a decent (china) fluid-filled damper for much less money.
Then there's ATI, also on the expensive side but USA and very good.
This is one of those places where it's not always wise to cut a corner....but for a mild, stock-type low rpm driver build I'd go with the 440Source's unit and not look back. Just be aware that they may (usually do) need to be honed .001" for proper fit.

Damper Doctor rebuilds balancers, but you can get an inexpensive one from summit racing for about $100. If an engine requires the original balancer, or a replacement is not available, I have them rebuilt.

Thanks much! I’m am going to check with them and Damper Doctor.
