Harmonic balancer sleeve repair kit

I'll admit I was a little reluctant when I used installed one on mine but when I did mine there wasn't much for finding mopar parts in the sticks where I lived and my income wasn't like it is now and I had young kids so that was well worth a try for me , my labor was cheap enough if it failed , which it didn't for me, it seems like I remember putting a sealant on before installing , haven't heard that mentioned , anyways just tapped it down using a flat board and a hammer

Very glad it worked for you.

It didn’t come with a sealant. It was just the ring. My only concern of the lip being busted or bent by the hammer

mine had like a red locktight looking sealant and it was a hard chrome surface, man that was a long time ago, but all you have to worry about is the surface the seal rides on and if oil can travel under it, I hope the sleeve is hard enough not to wear through and I am kind of worried about no sealant

Did a yoke worked fine. The cup you hammer on I put a small block wood on it while pounding it.

I have used a few over the years. I gently press them on with a bit of flat steel or wood.
No heat or freezing though, and as said before you need to get them straight.
The tolerance for outside diameter of the shaft to the seal inside diameter is pretty forgiving.
If that is the only thing wrong with the damper I have no problem using one.

Guys it’s already installed the question is. Can I install it if the lip got a rushed a bit ? Or should I get a new one

So long as the area the seal will run in is not damaged or raised up it will be OK.
Just be careful to not damage the seal lip as you install. Grease the seal and the damper so they slide past each other.

Thank you
No it went in pretty smooth so I don’t think it damaged anything
Can’t wait to drive this thing
