I'll bet Brady couldn't get a stick pin up his *** when the refs came out at the start of the second half and confiscated all the Patriot footballs and he knew they were busted. He knew the jig was up and he better play his *** off.

What really bugs me is people wanting to give the Patriots a pass because they blew the Colts out. Yes, they won big, but they didn't deflate the balls after the game when the outcome was known. They deflated the balls when the outcome was unknown. They had no idea the Colts would play as badly as they did, and wanted to cheat to improve their chances of winning, and that's cheating in the purest sense of the word.

Seriously?

Kelly, do you watch the games?

After every play during that first half...the NFL Referee's handle the balls.

Did they notice?

And furthermore, the Pats scored 21 points in the second half of the game.
With correctly inflalted balls.

You did know that didnt you Kelly?

That the balls were re-inflated during half time...
1 more PSI of air was put back into those balls.

And then the second half was played.

So, the Patriots scored MORE POINTS with the balls at the correct inflation NFL requirement during the INDY game.

Yes I did watch the game. I'm still at a loss why the ref did not notice the balls them self's.
Still a cheat is a cheat.

The reason why the refs didn't notice the balls were under-inflated was because they were not supposed to notice it. Remember that a ref doesn't throw or catch the balls, they pick them up and place them down. The balls were deflated just enough to where a quarterback gripping and throwing the ball wound feel it, a receiver catching and squeezing the ball would notice it, and a running back squeezing the ball would notice it, but a ref who's just picking a ball up or having it tossed to them wouldn't notice because they aren't squeezing the ball.

This is very telling because it shows whoever did this knew exactly what they were doing, and explains why all the deflated balls were deflated the same amount. If the Colts were right, and the Patriots were using under-inflated balls during their regular season meeting, then they've been doing this for a long time and I'm sure they've worked out a system for getting the balls deflated without anyone noticing who isn't supposed to notice.

I'm guessing that now that the season is over that this story will quickly fade away. I'm sure that is what Goodell and the NFL brass are hoping anyway. It will be interesting to see if the NFL even mentions it in the off season. I don't know if the Pats actually tried to manipulate the outcome of any game by deflating game balls and I'm not sure that we will ever know the whole story. If the Pats did intentionally cheat, it makes it even more stupid because they obviously didn't need to to win games, especially the Indy game. The issue that I have with Belichick is his history, he's done it before, did he do it again? Maybe we'll find out, maybe we won't. I do know that the Pats won the SB fair and square by simply playing better than the Seahawks at the end of the game. Congratulations to the Patroits and their fans. See you next year.

Very well said...

Have I ever said how much I hate Tom Brady, Bilacheat & the Pats ??...LOL

Do you guys realize how silly you sound splitting hairs over 1 PSI. Get a life or better yet, get laid.

When was the last time you picked up a football and thought, "Hmm, this one feels 1 PSI short".
Get real, it's either too flat or too hard. It's football for f@ck sake, It's not Formula 1.

The media has you Rubes hook, line and sinker.

It's actually a 3 psi option between 10.5 psi low - 13.5 psi high,
that's within the rules you silly rube...
That's about a 23% difference/variation it could change under the NFL's recent changes to the ball rules,
{actually lobbied for by Peyton Manning & Tom Brady, coincidence ?, I think not}
Have I ever said how much I hate Peyton Manning or all the Manning's ??
they {the NE Pats/Brady/Bilacheat} seemed to want it even much lower in the neighborhood of 25% range,
even if it's only a pound {especially below the 10.5 psi #'s} it will effect the feel of the ball,
kickers actually want them at the top range of that scale,
Those people that actually played the game would, no doubt actually understand the beef,
much easier to handle, grip, catch & hold on to or even to pass etc., if it's just slightly less inflated...

By the way I've said it before, I'll say it again,
"I don't think the deflated balls effected the outcome of the Colt @ Pats game" BUT,
cheating is still cheating, stay within the NFL's inflation rules, breaking the rules is cheating...
How hard is that to comprehend ??... How about sportsmanship, ever heard of that ??
Even for all the rubes/Pats or them people/rubes defending cheating...

Yes every team does it, they're cheating in someway,
maybe not as flagrant as some,
some far more than others,
or using stimulants
or video cameras on the other sidelines, stealing signals
or vague rules interpretations, just pushing/fudging them,
{like zone blocking, blocking below the knees, that's far more detrimental}
or using PED's or other illegal drugs
or deflating or overinflating the footballs...

Bilacheat has a history of fudging the rules, at-least since he's been at NE...
IMHFO He kind of brings it on himself & his team...

I do get laid regularly too...LOL
{those that talk about it, or using for exploitation, are usually overcompensating for something,
for those who seem to never get laid it seems
}

I actually played the game for nearly 20 years also... not that that even matters at all BUT
I'm sure we have a bunch of rubes here commenting, that never played or are merely armchair QB too !!

You can easily tell a deflated ball, there's no f@cken' excuses...

All the rest is spin {or just for fun, needling} because someone likes or dislike the rubes that won
or the loser rubes, that jumped on the bandwagon now, that want to defend that cheater crap...

Win at all cost, bar-none, screw the rules, we don't need no stinken' rules...LOL

Some of us... We have fun with it, I know I did/have/still do...

I love the game of football, especially college/NCAA
{it's even better than talking about politics...LOL}

Have I ever said, how much I hate Tom Brady, Bilacheat & the Pats ?? {ownership now too}

Actually it was two, imagine how many fumbles or interceptions we might have seen if it had been caught in week 3.

That was good.

Serioulsy, it wasn't that bad of a call. Win as a team, lose as a team. A pass play made sense. Wilson should have wasted it in the end zone rather than throw it in the middle, IMHO.

Don't let the media get your panties in a bunch.

It's football for f@ck sake.
