One of only one known to exist.
I would like to post more pictures but they are too big.
Can anybody tell me how to down size the pictures (pixels) to fit the web site?

Never seen or heard of it, logical if there is only one, ever made, kind of different...

I have a similar 64 dodge 440. But mine has 2 doors on drivers side and 1 on passenger side.

3 Door

Hi Steve-

Is this the 4 door I contacted you about in the beginning of the year? If so NICE job!

Are you going to do the other side?

Glen/DJ

you would never know it but my 70 Road Runner is a station wagon on one side and a hemi challenger on the other side. hard to tell from the pix in my gallery ....but its true. NICE PHOTOSHOP WORK !

What would be the use of this other than it is easier to get in the back seat on one side. Wonder if they are one of many of mopar screwups back in the day with 1 ot cars.

If I were a betting man...I'd say it was fabricated recently.

I do remember three door Chevy Suburbans and International Travel-alls (longer version of the scout) back in the early 70s. I always thought they were odd.

That's a lot of time and effort to convert a perfectly good two door into a four door. That's probably why they stopped halfway :)

I left you a re-sizer for images/pictures, id really like to see the rest of these myself.. :) It really is a different model, any history you want to share about this one.. be cool to hear about it!

Well Doooh

:eek:ops: No big mistery... :werd: I suspect it is a 4 dr some one is making into a 2 dr by puting new doors & quarters on it...

No PHOTOSHOP HERE.
...............I'll have it at the Carlisle nationals in July.

It might have worked as a taxi concept back then. People used to sit in the front and back seats, and most taxi passengers get in on the passenger side, especially in city environments. You reduce the weight by removing one door, and still enable passengers to quickly enter/exit from two doors.

Sweet Conversion

Maybe this will help out...

I was really interested in purchasing this car for my Son...
but he let the grades slide...

Steve seems like a real stand up guy and made me a really fair offer! If it wasn't 2,500 miles away... I might have brought that fine piece back to sunny CA...

Enjoy Steve! Great looking work and car!!!
