head rest post width

I'm trying to determine whether headrests were made with different widths between the mounting posts.

Maybe 66-67 differ from 68-69?

Maybe the headrests differ for different models, e.g., A-body differs from B-body?

Here's the backstory for my question...

Supposedly, I bought a set of bucket seats from a 67 charger. The seat frames have mounting holes for headrests. However, headrests from a 69 GTX are too wide for the mounting holes (by an 1 inch or so).

Anyone reading this topic have a 66 or 67 B-body with headrests?

If so, would you please measure the width between the headrest posts?

I have a 66 Charger with 67 seats & headrests, I'll get you measurements this coming weekend, unless someone finds out first

Bryan - thanks. This will help me figure out alot. I suspect that the 67 headrests will be more narrow than the 68-69 headrests. If so, then it is a good possibility that I do, in fact, have 67 charger bucket seats.

Posts on the headrests in my car are 7-1/2" apart

Thanks, Bryan - that spacing matches the seat frames that I have. The holes in the B-body seat frames are wider by about an inch.
