Ok, so I hooked up my headlights and grounded the harness but not working. I just now had a thought. Does the dimmer switch need to be hooked up for any of the lights to work? I do have brake lights so far and need to make sure the bulbs all work but remembered the dimmer is not installed. :eusa_think:

Clean your contact points good before plugging wires on..

?heck out the dimmer wire gauge. You can see a lot of current flows thru it..

Thanks for you input guy's, I have been using some fine sand paper to clean any wiring contacts that I reuse. I've experienced the corrosion problems in the past.

And you know if you don't catch corrosion QUICK it will run all the way up the wire. Once you clean it and reconnect it, if it was *me* I would paint over the end. Whether factory correct or not, it will seal it from corrosion.

Dielectric grease will also help. Put it in the connection. Another good place for it is on your spark plug boots. Stuck boots no more!

It sure will....and as much as I hate to admit this...and I do on many an occasion, but Ford makes about the best dielectric grease you can buy.

Used my old dimmer switch which is stuck on brights, New one here Friday. They work fine...wire checked out ground. Thanks....:headbang:
