Heads question??

Hi guys, wondering if I can put 906 440 heads on my 67 383? It’s a 68 charger but the motor comes up as 67.

A 67 383 head is a closed chamber 516, the 906 is an open chamber.
Please explain the reasoning behind the swap?

Got it, my heads are 516 which are 2.08 intake and 1.60 exhaust. Which would have a smaller chamber for compression. The 906s have a 1.74 intake in a bigger cc chamber. That correct? So I should stay with the small a chamber

to your initial question, yes. 906 heads have 2.08 intake, 1.74 exhaust.
