Hi guys-I installed a moser 3.54 rear into my 64 Fury.My speedometer reads 90 when I'm going 65.Cope racing trans. says I need a 21 tooth gear but just in case I was thinking if anyone has put a heads up display in a mopar.A heads up is a camera that shines the mph. on your windsheild and it is very cool and a pleasure to drive. My wife has this option on her 2001 Corvette and we both love it I'm throwing this idea out there for you mechanically gifted people because I'm always impressed with the knowledge on this website- Thanks Joel

**** ya, do it!!! I would love to see how ya do the install, so take lots of pics.

Sounds cool, let us know what type of setup you go with.

Side-note, if you have an Android phone, download this: Ulysee GPS Speedometer.

It actually has a "HUD" mode, where you can lay your phone on your dash and it reflects up the speedo real-time like a HUD. It uses GPS so that's a great way to calibrate your ACTUAL MPH. And best part, it's FREE!

I was just ready to post the same thing! I think I'm going to put a small piece of velcro on my Android phone case and use that app in my '63.

I don't think a 21 tooth gear was available

torqueflite patty has a 21 tooth on ebay,...expensive. i use a ratio reducer on my 65 dodge.

Great way to see how on/off your speedo is, especially after putting bigger tires on your truck for example. Beats the hell out of repeat-driving through those school zones that display your speed, haha!

Hi- No luck finding a 21 tooth on E-bay.Where did you find a ratio reducer and how does it work? Thanks-Joel
ratio reducers were used by the factory on cars with 3.91 or lower rear end ratios. they attach to the transmission where the speedo cable goes and the cable attaches to the reducer. they're just a little gear reduction device to slow the speedo cable down. they were availiable from the factory/dealer back in the day. a .80 reducer (the common ratio) will allow the use of a 17 tooth pinion with a 3.55 rear gear. i bought mine from Imperial Services some years back but i don't think they sell to the public anymore. i picked this out of the Goodguys gazette: Rowland Speedometer, 1-727-410-6352. torqueflite patty does have a website on ebay. look under "torqueflite".

Went to a cruise in at the local burger spot in a buddy's 440 Dart. The speedo didn't work so I used the Ulysee Speedometer app on my phone and it worked perfectly! We cross referenced what he was seeing on the tach vs. Mph so now he knows exactly how fast he is going at certain RPM's.

Check Brewers I believe I just saw a used one on there web site recently.
