Edelbrock all the way in my opinion. They both should be checked by a professional first before running them but the stealths seem to cost everyone that preps them (properly), at minimum, the price difference between the two. And the Edelbrocks still outflow them in unported form according to most pro builders..The stealths are good if you want to paint them and disguise them as factory heads.
My reason for narrowing down to these 2 heads are reputation and price. Both are sale priced currently. I still have yet (even on their site) to find the difference between Performer RPM and E Street. I did notice in the new catalogue it's only E Streets and Victors.
I don't remember seeing more than springs (which the cam decides), retainers and locks being changed on the stealths...what have I missed in the reviews? The Stealths had casting problems a few years ago...but those seem to have been addressed.

The E-streets were offered with the smaller chambers, RPMs (used to be anyway) available only with an 88cc or 84cc chamber. Maybe they're making some changes?

I had that backwards...only RPM and Victor for b/rb....e street no longer listed...that would explain the price drop.
E Streets still 75cc or 85cc.
Which is why they are one of my considerations....slight CR bump...provided I can run the .02 shim gasket with dissimilar materials.

I'm running the Stealth heads. Ootb they look good and ports pretty smooth with some light casting flash. If you are running close to stock cam, the hardware should be ok. I running a Hughes solid lifter cam 3842 with heavier springs. The 7 degree locks were starting to pull through. Replaced with 10 degree locks, no more issues. All valves were seating ootb, valve heights were all the same.

I recently got them back from MCH where they were cnc ported, they now flow an honest 300 cfm at .550" lift. 80 cc chambers, straight spark plug, standard valve train and price were key points why I chose them.

Nice blend work..I'm guessing g there's more than just carbon in the before...little bit of casting flash?

As far as Cam...that's further down the road...torn between 264ish and contemplating the whiplash if it actually raises compression and performs better. I figure I can live with the noise if I add some resonator's pre or post muffler. Hell...with how it sounds...probably both

I recently purchased (Summit) the e-street 75cc heads and had them looked over by the engine builder. Everything was good. The engine builders and dyno guys all had good things to say about the e-streets. I haven't installed the engine yet so no running experience except for the dyno.

I have the Eddy RPMs. They are also angle plug heads. No issues with header fitment at the head. Of course they needed help around the torsion bar. I used Hedmans. I would use the E streets to get the compression up. Maybe one of the smarter guys knows how to calculate the difference in compression between the two heads.

Your taking this as a personal attack...kinda grandstanding right now.
and I'm looking for personal experience with the subject at hand.....a super low buck 440 that I'm trying to get to breathe. You by your own admission have no personal experience on this subject.

I'm sorry your so offended by my questioning your answers...and adding some of my own logic.
I can look and see if I still have the video of my machine shop showing me how sloppy the guides were in a set of Stealth heads that only had 3,000 miles on them.. they were bad! Stealth heads = Chinese materials which is where most of the problems seam to stem from.

After receiving a made in China Eddelbrock carb adapter I called them and raised hell, they assured me all of their core products (heads, intakes, carbs, etc) are still made right here, dress up stuff is overseas.

Given the compression the Torquestorm sounds like a great option, head flow won't even be as important either. Boost is the best of both worlds, it allows you to build a mild motor that runs like a scalded dog.

E Street Heads

What's the difference in an "E-Street" head and the standard "RPM" head?

1. The E-Street head uses a less expensive (a little heavier) valve than the RPM head.
2. The E-Street head has powder metal valve seats whereas the RPM heads use ductile iron seats, which in our opinion is a better seat material - it is harder and lasts longer but is harder to machine.
3. The E-Street heads do not get hand blended valve bowls from Edelbrock. The RPM heads do.

With the estreets not in the new catalog...I'm looking towards RPM's....I've found them as low as 730 a piece. Maybe the income tax sale will hit soon...
Or maybe I'll add some std bore pistons with a 2.060 compression height...bring them puppies out outta the hole a bit. More like Prarie dog splattering....wait for em to pop up and make em esplode with a 30 cal.

Granted, the Ebrock online catalog search feature is as weak and useless as they come....... nonetheless I was able to find all the familiar BB Mopar RPM and E Street part numbers that have always been available.

Estreets are also shown as “ships today” on the Summit site.

Also, a “fwiw”...... and no idea if this is going to be what they come with from now on, or if it was a screw up, or they were out of the other ones....... but I just went through a set of 84cc Estreets about a month ago...... and that set had the ductile seats like what are in the RPM heads, not the powdered metal seats.

My point was simply that the E Streets for BB Mopar are still listed in the catalog, when it was stated by “jeepthrills01” they weren’t.

Go to the pdf print catalogue...page 30ish...2 b/rb heads listed..rpm and victor..what is at in the catalog is usually what going to be continued to be manufactured. So those in stock (at edl or sum or jeg)....may be the last of them.

The first pic is before the heads were even ran, not sure about what you mean about carbon in the before. Casting flash is the wrong terminology , more like parting like like you see in all cast parts. You can zoom in on the first pic and see one of the lines. They are still very smooth in the ports ootb. Transition in the bowl were ok, I blended them before I mounted them originally.
