i have a 1973 dodge Charger,, factory heat/ac car.. it has a brand new Bouchillion under hood ac kit, new heater core, new evaporator, factory ac/heat box has been completely rebuilt and sealed.. tested all doors with vacuum pump and work as should, blower motor is original and car has been completely rewired with American auto wire harness bumper to bumper...

issue i am wondering about is when i run ac its cold and blows decent.. same with heat.. it gets 120 degrees and blows decent, but when i switch it to vent mode the blower motor blows good and strong... Why does it not blow this hard on the heat or ac setting?

What position is your recirc door in ? Just curious if it moves around? Drifting between modes? When you turn on vent is your recirc door open or closed then moving to Max ac you should notice it closing.. just spit balling here.

It's solid once moved to different settings. door moves as it should and stays. it's a complete rebuilt box with new foam and gaskets.

Just for reference-

Factory setup in my 73 blows the same on AC or vent.

I frequently switch between the two at stoplights and notice no difference in blower speed.
