Restoring the heater Box for the 69 RR and looks like the old core did not pass the under water pressure check. The funny thing is I don't
remember an issue when I last drove to car in 1998? It been in dry storage.

Anyway did a board search and did not come up with much other then some one called "Glen Ray" Radiator service who does rebuild?

Has anyone bought a replacement? Aluminum one? Are they Junk? Any one have a current price to rebuild one ?

Thanks

I bought mine from Rock Auto last year, fit good and works fine, no leaks.

Send the original to Glen Ray. You won't be disappointed.

I bought one from Summit racing. I did re-solder the tubes where they meet the core as the solder joint had very little solder before I installed.

I bought one from Mega Parts several years ago - it has be fine and the heater gets nice and warm.
It is worth getting them tested by a radiator shop before installation.

Another vouch for Glen Ray. One advantage is you can be sure the nipples will be long enough to reach through the firewall unlike some of the replacements. Unless you don’t have 3 or 4 weeks for turn around I wouldn’t go any other way.

Thanks Gripper
Absolutely go with Glenn Ray radiator. Call them, talk with Bob...their work is superb...either a new/reproduced or have your old unit repaired. Not inexpensive but a first class operation.....FYI... I purchased a replacement radiator (26" max cooling core, # 2998956, for my 1970 GTX RS23V0A*******) ..... it came to ~ $ 1400 plus shipping.....guaranteed.......call them.......just my opinion.....

Sent it off 2 days ago .... $19 to ship. They told me that there is allot issues with after market ....kinda hit and miss.

He's going to re-core mine. It would be a real bummer with a leaky heater on a restored heater box and car.
