Help locating original 383 from NY

Hi All,
I purchased a forest green 69 roadrunner from the Albany New York area about 3 years ago that is missing the original HP 383. It was removed for a rebuilt 440 from a 69 sport satellite. The car was setup for amateur racing when I got it. Im trying To locate this engine and would trade the 440 for it. The car was also in the Bingington and Oneonta NY area at some point over the last 20-30 years.

This vin number will be stamped on the lower passenger side of the block above the oil pan:

RM23H9A182705

Have you posted want ads all over the local NY Craig's Lists and offered cash rewards?

I bought it from DeNooyer Chevrolet, they took it in on a trade. I tracked down one of the previous owners by searching google but he didn’t have it or info where it was.

The Craigslist ad sounds like a good idea, that where I found it for sale.

I remember that car when they had it at there other location i believe a guy who worked at a tire place had owned it Steve
