I've tried to decode this but didn't have any luck. If any of you can help I would appreciate it.
PK 36310 4 4029 5400

I found your number on Maxwedge.com Look under articles,10,000 Day Calendar Calculator -- 71 Plymouth Fury Police stationwagon.

I think you have some numbers wrong and are missing at least one. Are you sure it isn't 3681054? That would be for a 72 or 73 a B or c body with a 400 2 bbl. The date code is August 8, 1972

I too had to look in several places.Maxwedge.com was the only site that had the match for those numbers.MyMopar didn't show any match in their trans numbers. 3 and 8 can look alot alike.

You guys are exactly right. I guess I don't know how bad my eyes are. The number is PK 3681054 4029 5400. Thank you for taking the time to decode this. My next question is, would this 1972 be a good year model core to rebuild behind a 440 Belvedere? Is there a particular rebuild kit to upgrade this transmission to whatever the Hemi 727 specs would have been?

That makes sense now - PK 3681054 shows as 1972-73, B & C, 400ci 2BBL, from late '72

I'm not sure of a kit per-say, but guys like Cope or A&A Transmissions can supply you with what ever you need.
