Hello, I have had this steering column for years and am not sure of what it fits.
It is a floor shift design at least 1971 and newer.

THIS IS NOT A SALES AD !
It looks a lot like an A body column by the firewall plate.

Here is a side by side. The column on the right came out of a 74 Duster I parted out 2 years ago.

They look identical until….

This column has a longer shaft than the A body unit.

I don’t remember where I got this. I’m guessing B body since it doesn’t have that corrugated crush can the E bodies had. The firewall plate does not match the 4 bolt pattern of my 1970 Charger.

I’m leaning toward it being a 71-72 B body.
What do you think?

Just out of a January 1972 b body with power steering.

Power or non-power steering would make a difference.

I should have mentioned that it has a power steering coupler with the smaller splined coupler.
It does look like it is a 71-72.
Thanks!

My vote is for early 70s A body.
Try again. All 1967-76 A body power steering columns looked like the above unit.

The bottom unit is the one I am asking about here. The bottom one is a good 3 inches longer.

My '71 Coronet has a 3 point upper mount... but it's not the original column (and it's tilt). I'll have a look under the dash on the '71 Satellite and see if it's the same, as that one has an oem column.

Look at this local for sale ad today 73-74 b body. The collapsible part has the lines like both of @Kern Dog instead of the X pattern of this 1972 I showed

Also look at the floor plate. The 73-74 I posted above has the 3 hole floor plate and a collar on the column that meets up to it. Just like both posted by @Kern Dog.

The 1972 I posted has the 3 hole floor plate and a second flat plate that bolts on to the floor plate.

So the original column to identify looks like a 73-74 non A body or C body, as they have the rag joint mount on the end not a coupler.

The blue tilt column in a couple pictures above is from a mid 70s Cordoba. I pulled it from the junkyard myself. It is the tan column with the longer steering shaft that I am curious about.
It could be 71-74 B body, as I did know a guy that had a stash of parts for his 71 Road Runner. He cleared out the stuff and sold the car, I got a load of parts about 12 years ago from him.
