Help on carb shift linkage

Hi I'm a 17 year old who just did a 340 engine rebuild on a 73 roadrunner I need help putting the shift linkage on the carb so a picture would be helpful or just some direction thank you very much

I'm a 48 year old with a broken crystal ball. What kinda carburetor? What kinda shift linkage? Stock? Other?A picture of what YOU have would be helpful here.
