"HP2" built in '65... or "Hemi 426" built in '66?

Yes!Nice buy!Is it a stick?
Well, it’s badged HP2 but still trying to find and validate the block assembly date."HP2" built in '65... or "Hemi 426" built in '66?
Do the revits shape on mine indicate probably original tag? Or not?
I would say they are not original rivets. But I don’t see any over-spray on the tag so if the door jambs have ever been painted in the past, it’s possible it was removed first and then put back. Hard to tell if the tag is original to the car or not. You could try looking for a build sheet under the seats or carpet. Or send the tag info off to the Chrysler Historical Society and get their report on the car.Do the revits shape on mine indicate probably original tag? Or not?
Have you been under the car and verified all the factory frame reinforcements Hemi cars recieved?
I haven’t done that yet. But will. Mecum description didn’t reference?Hard to tell if the tag is original to the car or not. You could try looking for a build sheet under the seats or carpet.
All Hemi cars built before the end of December, or more likely Christmas, were badged HP2.Also, Dadsbee is a far better authority on HP2 cars than me but a mid-Dec 65 assembly date might be a little late for the HP2 badged cars.
found it interesting that Bleep Bleeps car doesn't appear to have been painted on the jams
