Looking for any information at all on a 1966 Red Hemi Satellite.

Does anyone recognize? Thanks.

The round head rivets are interesting. Mine was the same and I "corrected" it to scalped heads... maybe I shouldn't have! LOL

Do the revits shape on mine indicate probably original tag? Or not?
I would say they are not original rivets. But I don’t see any over-spray on the tag so if the door jambs have ever been painted in the past, it’s possible it was removed first and then put back. Hard to tell if the tag is original to the car or not. You could try looking for a build sheet under the seats or carpet. Or send the tag info off to the Chrysler Historical Society and get their report on the car.

Also, Dadsbee is a far better authority on HP2 cars than me but a mid-Dec 65 assembly date might be a little late for the HP2 badged cars.

Have you been under the car and verified all the factory frame reinforcements Hemi cars recieved?

The good thing is even if the car has some questionable history you still bought it pretty close to right. A complete, good Hemi drivetrain can be worth $25K and complete, admitted Hemi clones are being sold for as much as $50k+.

All Hemi cars built before the end of December, or more likely Christmas, were badged HP2.

As I noted my tag had round rivets in it as well. Assume it was popped and put back on during exterior painting. I just found it interesting that Bleep Bleeps car doesn't appear to have been painted on the jams and thought that just maybe they were using round head rivets on the line in 65.

I’m uncertain if it’s original. One of the bigger things on the list obviously. I understand its prob (very) unlikely.
Mecum ad said “refinished”.

In addition to the jambs to my inexperienced eye appears it’s been masked off and paint is just really worn. The data plate finish is relatively better shape than that surrounding fender?
