I need to fix an oil pan leak on my 70 GTX and I want to use the 6 qt repop of the hemi / six pack pan from Mancini (it now has a 402 pan that has been on the car since day one)

also want to use the jegs windage tray with molded gaskets to make it easy by having one piece instead of three to deal with under the car.

Has anyone used this pan in a 70 b body? will I have to lift the engine or will it slide in with the longer pickup tube?
also the windage tray states for smooth rail oil pans, and that pan looks like it has impressions along the mating surface, will it work or is there something similar out there that will work with that pan?
Thanks

centerlink out...do the swap....centerlink in.....done.....faster written though

I bought a Milodon 6 quart pan and one of those cool gasketless windage trays too. I'm anxious to get it installed.

Make 100% sure the leak is coming from the pan. I have seen many, many big block chrysler engines that leak from one or both timing cover dowel pins. It usually looks like the pan is leaking in the front corner but it rarely is. DAMHIK

Will the pickup tube come out without hitting the k member?
Or will I need to jack up the engine?

The pick up will come out. The pan will fit. You are wise for using a windage tray.
