Help! What motor is this?

hey the distribtor looks to have a govenor attached to it , that would make one hell of a power plant for a BRUSH CHIPPER, wood chipper, that would B SIR C-H-O-M-P-S A LOT ! ! ! and then some

That was what I was thinking, only my chipper runs clockwise.

All passenger car B RB applications from 1958 to and including 1961 had extended crank, bolt holes in crank were not threaded. The difference was cast iron to aluminum torque flite transmissions.I did notice that the back of this industrial block has bosses cast in that normal 440s don't have, that looks like it could be machined to put water pump on rear of engine.

Thanks everyone for the info. This engine belongs to a friend.
He bought it from an airport that had it rebuilt 20 years ago by Jasper. It's been in storage ever since and was never used.
Seems like if it is a counter rotating, It would not work in any auto or truck.
So if it is counter rotating how does that work?

I believe he is going to sell it. He told me that he checked it and it does spin and is not froze up.
What would something like this be worth?
I have marine reverse rotation 440 in my dart, here s the difference basically just the cam and the distributor and you have to polish the crank where the oil seals are so they don't leak. O course he pan and exhaust manifolds are different.

pull a valve cover and post the head casting number
413 motorhome/ industrial heads- the ones with the sodium cooled valves are worth $$$ The spark plugs go in like an FE ford or Small Block not straight horizontal like a B B MOPAR
in anycase it's a great block
They can be chain or gear- just checking the distributor rotation does not tell you
but that fan is a clue

ah so but we all learn something
and search evidently works
anyone need any 413 motorhome heads?
the valves used to be cheap- not anymore I hear
we used the Dodge flathead sodium cooled in the Rambler Indy Project
worked in the corncob 5 Flatheads tank motor
only a little over 1.5 inches but
INDESTRUCTIBLE
