This is my first rodeo with a rb block,it is 67 by year, I have it down to the bare block, it is .30 over, Every galley plug is rounded, so i guess drill them out and use a ez-out, besides that, do i need to replace the bushing for the oil pump drive? If i do, how does it come out? then what is it called? Does it need to go the machine shop, and be pressed out and back in? Will buy a shot of Jim Beam for some help.

You need to replace that bushing if it needs to be replaced. Is it the original aluminum one? Is it bronze? It should resemble a top hat with the brim visible from the top.......in other words, check to make sure there is still bushing in the passage. If the block has been hot tanked then it needs to be replaced along with the cam bushings. There is a special tool to install these, but I have no idea where to get one. A bit of creative engineering and you can come up with a "tool" of your own. The old one would be removed from the oil pump end of the passage using something long enough to reach the bushing.

Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, or Jose Cuervo are always an option

Yep, like they said. Just get a steel rod or a piece of pipe at the hardware store and drive it out from the pump side. You might want to replace the shaft as well if the bushing area is grooved up. Summit has the shaft for something like $50.00.

A shot or two of chilled vodka (hey, I'm Russian) or some good brandy will hit the spot!

Yep, I replace the drives too, I would rather run a new drive on a new cam than to use old ones. I call it "Cheap Assurance".

I got the brass bushing out no big deal , but the galley plugs , there the shits !!!!

drill holes in them , not big holes , leave plenty of meat around the thread area, get a set of pipe outs from Home Depot of Lowe's, they come in a small plastic bag and have about 5 sizes in there, these are fairly inexpensive, around 15 to 20 bucks , if I remember correctly, and use these to screw them out , you should be able to save the original threads in the block.
