While doing some work for my grandfather, I stumbled over a Chrysler bellhousing in his basement. Come to find out it my father put it down there 40-50 years ago in his younger years. He can't remember how/why he had it though. I googled the number and it looks like possibly it fits a 426 hemi, which my dad never owned. I was hoping some experts could chime in on all the engines this would possibly go on. The only number I can find is 2780512. Thanks for the help!

Yeah I saw that link and noticed they were worth a fair amount. Does anyone know if it fits other engines as well, just trying to solve the mystery as to why my dad would have had it in the first place.

That thing is worthless Ill pay scrap price plus shipping.. Sooo about 75.00 :)

It will fit any big block, IF you have the right starter, flywheel and trans. Clearly the value is as a correct hemi part. Did your dad have a big block four speed car?

Did your dad belong to a group that used to steal and strip cars? :poke:
