I was mocking up the federal power steering pump on the 70 Road Runner to check belt alignment. I have the HEMI only power steering pulley on the pump and before I return the install tool I wanted to make sure the pulley is not on to far. After mounting it on the engine, it looks like It would line up to a third pulley. I have a 2 groove crank pulley and both pulleys are the same diameter. The alt. and water pump are using the inner pulley. Some pictures I have seen show a 2 groove crank pulley with a smaller outer pulley offset unknown. I have the thicker HEMI Damper. What pulley do I need to correct this?

I measured my crank pulley it is 6 1/2 inches diameter and the alignment is 5/8 inch off. The power steering belt fits fine. Is there a way to couple an extra pulley on there like a GM?

Maybe check with Mancini because they have had experience with the older damper on the Hemi's.

Picture might help. On my 66 ps groove is first water and alt is second. There two different crank pulleys. You don't say what's up with other groove?

The other crank pulley groove is 5/8" out of alignment. If there was a third pulley it word fit nice. I did back out the crank nuts to see if the crank pulley is one unit and it is. So I can't shim it out between to align.

Sounds like your pulley isn't out far enough,?? Pictures. Possible that PS pump doesn't match lower pulley or harmonic balancer . I only have experience with 66 pulley and harmonic balancer. My understanding is 70 and later pulleys don't stick out as far. You may have a 70 pulley with a 66 to 68 combo. Mine is a trw ps pump thick harmonic B and a 66 pulley.

Called mancini. They are trying to help. Will post pix.

Here are pix.

From more research, I may not have all HEMI pulleys and proper alternator spacers.

like he said, ps pulley looks like it was installed backwards

I just looked at my P/S pump on my Hemi and it definitely looks like pulley is on backwards.

not on backwards. The puller part is on the outside.

This is a press on pulley. The groove is on the outside as you can see from the picture the smooth part faces towards the pump.

Does yours have a federal pump? Also a HEMI only pulley? Thanks

Here is a pix of the front of the pulley.

Yes that is it. I think from more searching I have big block pulleys and must use all HEMI pulleys with a 67-71 426 Hemi Cuda B E Body Alternator Mounting OEM Bolt + Spacers kit. My water pump pulley has a step in it and a HEMI one doesn't and the crank pulley has both pulleys of the same size a HEMI crank pulley has 2 different size pulleys and offset.
