Hi everyone, can I use a Hemi factory style oil pan on a 440 in any B Body without any thing fouling it? And can I use a stock style oil pick up or do I need a buy one to suit?

Thanks

Leigh

I believe the pan will bolt to the bottom of your block ok. The thing you have to watch for is clearance on the K Member. As far as the pick up tube goes, it should be about 1/4 to 3/8 inch from the bottom of the pan. If its right on the bottom, it may tend to pick up debris that could get into the bottom of the pan.

Do you know the model of the car that the hemi pan came off of? Or does it have any numbers stamped on the bottom?

I used the repo six quart (pan is 6 +1 for filter) hemi pan on my 70 GTX with no problem and it came with the pick up because it's deeper.

Yep. Just get the appropriate pickup for the engine and pan combo.

Thanks guys, I guy I know has a repo one without a pickup, it doesn't fit in his E body Phoenix. So I was worried it might not fit my 67 Coronet either.

I have used the reproduction hemi 6qt oil pans on the 440 in my '69 Coronet (1/2" pickup), and on a 383 in my '71 Charger (3/8" pickup.)
