I am building a 540 street blown hemi with a 871 supercharger.. I will be installing it into my 64 fury.. Cant wait... I need a set of heads, and a good set of rocker arms, stands ...

Im stuck on heads.. I already have a block etc.. but trying to find a pair of heads and rocker arms/stands for a good price.. People are telling me that the stock old hemi rockers and stands are the way to go.... but almost for the same price , I can buy aftermarket..

I know that the word HEMI and Cheap just dont match up,,, I know that,, but what is the most economical way to buy the rocker and stand set up..... and does it matter ( performance wise ) between mopar performance heads vs Edlebrock...

Figure since the blowers doing all the work,,, I plan to pocket port the heads to flow over 400 cc.. and bold on..

This is the Welcome Wagon forum, you'll get more responses if you post this in Engine, Trans & Driveline forum.

I have a set of Indy heads and rockers currently on my 526 that I'd be interested in selling. I'll probably switch to stock looking heads.

welcome to FBBO

there's allot of options, all are not cheap, by any means

I like Stage V stuff & the allot of the Edelbrock stuff too
really depends on the build & budget, what work will be done & what other parts will be used...
contact a reputable engine builder like Ray Barton {or others} & get their advice

possibly post this question in the racers hangout here also,
a few others that run Hemi's here too...

there's a decent book by a member her Richard Nedball about building Hemi's
I'd suggest getting a couple of books on the subject if you not familiar with them..

There's also a book by Mopar Performance "Hemi Engines" P4876824 {like $35}
it's kind of older book, but still good info...

Good luck & Happy Hemi Moparing

Hi,
I have a may 1969 hemi in my 70 "Bee"
Listening to a good Bud of mine I purchased the Hansen Stage V Aluminum Heads for my Hemi.
Great heads!
Don't get me wrong but if I were doing it all over?
I would go with Mother Mopar Aluminum Heads

The Stage V is the best made product you can buy for street use. It is good at 7000.00 please O ring the heads and if your running a blower then stay with aluminum Heads. Rockers are 3 choices stock, imported chinese or Indy which is removable without removing the head bolts or Stage V. The top of the line is TD machine Or Jessel at 6000 for rocker assembly for racing. If you use blower set up heads to oil intake/exhaust valves thru push rods and also add a set of squirts to oil the exhaust valve springs as well..

HOLY MOLY... That is the exact build I am trying to do.... my engine builder said I would have cooling problems on the street.. got so many questions to ask you... Should have 1000 hp on the street,,,just trying to make a cool supercharged car... Can you tell me what you put in the motor,,, cam, crank, specs, type of valve train, rockers etc,,, also, what kind of trans work,,

Also,, judging by the pics,, guessing you are not using a hemi k member ? since your using the motor plate. Hope to see more pics and hear from you..

Thanks, jeff
