Hi, what does the original power brake booster for a 69 Hemi Super Bee look like? I saw several different versions at the show in MN this weekend. Do any of them allow removal of the drivers side valve cover without moving the brake booster?

Thanks
Craig

I've removed mine without moving booster. I remove all intake brackets on drivers side and 1,3, and 5 plug tube. You lift it moving toward the carbs . 95% sure I didn't need to remove anything else, like carbs.

Edit: if you need a picture I can take one it's a 66. Pictures I googled don't look right, longer than mine. Mine is for sure original.

The original brake booster was a Bendix tandem style, which had, sort if, a conical projection which mounted the master cylinder which have the fluid fittings on the fender side.
Also, didn't hemi cars have offset mounting bracket for the booster, in addition to the firewall doubler plate (for firewall reinforcement) which would allow for driver's side valve cover removal?

Here is a picture of the original booster and master on my 1968 Hemi GTX. Sorry for the poor picture quality, it was from when we found it. I will get a clearer one tonight.

The repo's I see are longer than originals, there's an extra 1.5" appox bump on the back. Double diaphragm ?

More pictures. Pictures of booster not on car is one I have laying around.

The difference between the Non Hemi B body dual diaphragm Bendix booster and the Hemi version is the stud dimensions on the back of the booster. A search will get the specific dimensions. I do not know them off hand. If I remember correct, all the aftermarket repos have the wrong dimensions. Non Hemi mount direct to the fire wall via a flat plate.
