I just met Ken and Matt Hensley at the Moparty Picnic event in TN. I saw some of their wedge RB and Hemi builds and they ran great and have over 40 years of experience. I am considering them for my stroker 6bbl street strip build.

The stroker rotating assembly in my 440/493 is from them. Flawless and reliable. They did say that the 10.8 compression ratio would be fine on pump gas. It was not. I dealt with detonation for years. In 2013, I called them for pointers on it after posting several online threads asking for advice. The advice online was all over the map ranging from piston changes, camshaft designs, specialty coatings, A/F ratios, water injection, etc. It all came down to a simple thing: The compression ratio was too high for the commonly available pump gasoline. Ken at Hensley sold me on a slightly thicker head gasket with a smaller camshaft. To me, this seemed about half right. The smaller cam in theory should have increased the cylinder pressure, making things worse. I ended up returning the parts and paying a restocking fee.
Over the years, I have called them and have always felt that they were willing to help. They took the time to talk and talk when others may have been more inclined to just sell you something quickly and move on to the next customer.

Thanks Jim. You have likely told me about them before. I just met the Hensleys so I was asking.
I will check out the 2 you just referred me to. I want to ask them about working with the 6bbl setup. Any input regarding that?
