Thanks for all of the replies and likes.
I accidentally posted some pix in the Racers Forum, but during the week I will post them here with a lot more.
Hundreds of cars, some really special, some of those already posted.
I had a BLAST and Ken Meredith who put this benefit to fight colon cancer (who he and I and maybe some of you have all lost friends and or family to) is a great guy, it was a great 2 days, and the guys who live there and know Ken who I met by his house the night I rolled in to Tennessee/Georgia ALL made me feel welcome and like family!
Thanks guys!
I just want to say thanks to all who came and out and supported the show this weekend. Ken and his immediate family and a close knit group of friends put this show on with very little outside help. Nobody knows until actually taking on such a challenge what an event like this requires and we are very fortunate that Ken and his family has the passion to do this for us all to enjoy.
I am thinking that the car count was around 374 cars for the Saturday event. Factor in a huge turnout of race cars from throughout the Southeast that came in on Friday evening for an all Mopar race which afterwards on Friday night was open up to all models for the Saturday night open drag event. And you can get an ideal that this was a good size event for a regional show.
Even with Good Guys in Nashville, the Farmington, NC Mopar show going on the same weekend and it being Mother's Day weekend, I feel that this was a very good turnout. I spoke to several spectators who said the quality of the cars was much better this year as well.
Being at the show by myself and locked down to the vending spot, I was not able to see but the cars located inside the arena, the quality and quantity of those cars was very impressive. The 9000 mile A12 Road Runner of Ted Stephens was super nice and the 69 Hemi Road Road Runner and 71 Hemi Road Runner were amazing cars.
It was amazing that I had customers come up that had traveled as far away as Buffalo, NY, Maryland, Louisiana and Florida for the show. I have been involved in some fashion with this show since the mid to late 80s and it has always been a great event. I truly do believe that it can become a premiere event for the Mopar crowd in the Southeast.
So again, I would like to say THANKS again to Ken and his group and for all of those who attended and made this a great event. Already looking forwards to 2019!!!
