I'm actually working on a b-body too!
Some progress on the kid's Coronet.
Out with the 'lil guy and in with the 8.75.
The heart ❤ of the GTX which made a best pass of 11.20@ 121 is going into this car. No changes to the engine , trans or rear. Body, suspension, and knowledge are the only upgrades. Wheels, and tires are the same as well. Hoping to be on track in the spring.

I'm with @cdr an 11.50 maybe,
after running a couple of mid to hi-12 second passes 1st
it will still run 120-ish if it isn't wounded, he stays on it out the back
& if stuff goes well, if the kid can drive, as well as he takes photos
1st time out "maybe"

how much more does it weight than the GTX did ?
couple hundred pounds ? an extra tenth+ for every extra 100#'s
no glass hood or bumpers, or alum. bumper brackets ?
is it totally gutted or full interior ?
do you have any frame stiffing done ?
subframe connectors, roll bar etc.

The car will be gutted. It has a cage and will have subframe connectors.
Should be lighter than the GTX by a couple hundred pounds.
Motor will be fresh.
I'm thinking it'll go 10's.

Well both are B-bodies and should weigh close to the same so I say 11.50's or better. I know I was surprised as how well my kid drove at the track right from his first pass so I know our kids can drive. Best of luck to you guys. Ron
