I have a 1962 Fury 2dr hardtop. It is a Canadian model that came with a 1962 dodge dash and interior and Dodge chrome and paint stripe like a 1962 Dodge would have in the USA! It has a 440 and 727 push button transmission. Sometimes the car won't shift into any gear. Most times it works fine! Transmission seems quite noisy. I understand it has 2 pumps. is that what I'm hearing?

Yes the early 727 trans had two pumps. I have never heard one that was noisy. Maybe someone else on here could help with that one. I would post your transmission guestion in "General Mopar Tech Discussions". More people will see it.

Hey, I'll be driving into Penhold in a couple of days. Keep the snow down will ya?

Since the engine's not original, do you think the transmission is? I don't think you're hearing the pumps, but can't tell from here. The rear pump won't turn until the car is moving. Usually if it's noisy you're hearing cavitation at the front pump caused by a blocked screen. It's easy enough to drop the pan and check it out.
