Hi my name is matt. I'm from northeast arkansas. I have always been around mopars my whole life. I just now have purchased my first mopar. It is a 69 plymouth roadrunner It was in the family since my uncle bought it in 1971. It has sit in his yard for the last 20 years. So about a month ago me an my daughter drove to see him an the next thing I know I'm a proud owner of a mopar . As in the picture my dad an son are also proud! As my dad said we have a 3rd generation mopar fan. The tear down is in progress

Welcome Runner! Great year for the bird and will be watching to see more pics as you bring her back to life. I am in Alaska now but moved up from Shreveport 26 years ago...do not miss the heat. A great bunch of people on this forum with a vast knowledge of Mopars. Send more pics.

Welcome aboard. Help me out - the car looks like a 68. I'm basing that comment on the shape of the hood scoop and the round side marker lights.

Yea it is a 69 model the the fenders are the wrong ones for the car. As for the hood I'm not sure what the difference between the 68 an 69 models. I've always been around chargers my whole life as my dad have one that we restored back in 2000. So that's why I like this site. So as I go through the process of the car I can get great knowledge from you guys.

Thanks for the welcome. Nice car love the air grabber hoods

its a fantastic color Red when next to an orange car or in certain light , orange at other times , you will love it

That's what I have been told. I had a buddy tell me the paint code showed in the book it was called barracuda orange. so I seconded guessed him cause to me it looked red. but now that I seen the one you posted I can see how it has an orange tint to it. I will definitely love this color!

welcome to FBBO

good luck on the 69 RR Rustoration project
