I have a used headlight motor for my 71 Charger and I want to test it before I install it. I thk the FSM says you can't test with out a load. Is this correct? Anyway to test out of the vehicle?
Thx

Try checking the electrical resistance compared to what you currently have installed.
If it comes up as a "short", then it is probably no good.
If the resistance is greater than what you have installed, then it could be questionable.
If the resistance is less than what you have installed, then I would put it in (if needed).

Ground the motor and then apply power to one terminal it should run in one direction and stop. Switch the power to the other terminal and it should run in the opposite direction and stop
