Where can I get a rebuilt or new motor for my hide away head light covers I just purchased? I have the old motor , it looks more like a cylinoid rather than a motor to me . It was rusty and froze up , I got it freed up but dont have no idea how to test it . I wonder if I can get rebuilt? I need some advice on this . If it cant be saved where can I find a new or rebuilt one ? Where can I find a relay or maybe a cheaper one that will work off of a different type of car I can find at a junk yard?

I would check with some of the better Motor shops in your area, some of them will tackle the smaller specialized motors on occasion.

I had one here in S.C. rebuild the Original Wiper motor for my Hemi car.

auto electric shop should be able to rebuild it. they do the 66 charger ones where i,m at.

Has anyone ever had any hide aways re-chromed? The light door looks to be 1 pc and its blacked out in the back ground in between the chrome bars ...... how does a person re-do this? Also another question I had is the spring coils just to assist the motor in opening the doors or does the spring do all the work on opening?
