High School 62-65 b-body pics? What did you have?

Great story. Thompson-Todd on Michigan Ave. Street raced Telegraph, "Airport Road", and Woodward also. We may have crossed paths.

Thanks... I think Thompson-Todd is where I bought my Satellite in 66... On Michigan Ave, in Dearborn....?

I do remember "airport road". One way in.... one way out. The cops loved it..LOL. Lots of good racing there... My brother had a T-bucket with a 375 HP 396 Big block that was pretty wild.... another friend had a T-bucket w/427, tunnel ram dual 4's, (He raced and beat Jimmy Addison's Silver Bullet). He also street raced a 68 Hemi Road Runner, (red 4 speed) with a 12:1 Diamond racing built engine.
Awesome times........!!!!![/

This was my 63 MW car with only 18K miles I used to run at Lions, Irwindale, and a few other tracks in the late sixties. In 68 I was drafted and went to Vietnam in 68-70.

I never thought I'd ever come home again so when I did, My car was no longer a top priority.

I had to go to work, raise a family and this car was not really streetable so I had to trade it off for a 64 Chevelle with a 230 Six.

This bothered me for over 40 years so I'm building another 63. It won't be a MW but a strong 440 or 451. It's taking me a long time, I'm older now and about Sixty pounds heavier than in this picture. The new 63 is jet black and red, almost like my old one. Oh well...........

Fantastic car, rrowdy - really dig the fender headers, too!
Here's my first car - circa 1981 or thereabouts.

I dont have any of me with the car but this 66 Dart was my first car. I bought it in 1974 and rolled it in 1982. It was an original 273 car that I put a 340 in it and it was a 4-speed car. Ron

1965 Dodge Coronet 440 383 4-speed

This was my first Mopar...many to follow after that. Bought it brand new from Podway Dodge in Lakewood, Ohio. My buddy and I picked up our new cars the same day from the same dealer. His was a 426 street wedge Coronet 500...sooo..we just had to find out who was gonna win. Went to Clifton Blvd. and went at it. Being that I can shift a 4-speed almost as good as Ronnie Sox I actually pulled him by about 3/4 car length until the big end (almost 100 mph) when he pulled me by about a car length when we had to shut it down. He was soo P.Od that a 383 could run like that...but he got over it...!!!...lol
