Has anyone noticed the recent price increases for some (all?) Holley products?

Terminator X Stealth: was $1530 now $1610

Hyperspark distributor: was $261 now $277

Hyperspark ignition box: was $210 now $221

Luckily I placed my order 2 weeks ago before the increase..and had a 10% off Summit code as well

What I find intriguing is that basic carburetor technology hasn't changed in decades and yet the pricing continues to go sky high. The first carb I bought in about 1992 was $189. That same one goes for over $800 now and is exactly the same as it was then.

Also heard a rumor recently that Holley is / has bought MANY of our favorite companies to such a degree that it seems to be creating a monopoly in the aftermarket industry. Before we know it that Holley four barrel will be two grand plus shipping.

Just recently found out that they now own Hurst, not sure if I like that.
They bought Quick Fuel out a couple years ago as well. To much competition from that brand I suppose.

What's "funny" is that most of their carburetors are 'out of stock'...most of the good stuff anyway.

Holley Performance is owned by Sentinel Partners, a buyout firm.
They have bought many automotive product companies, many of which make the same products, such as Holley, Demon, and many others.
I noticed a familiar name with Sentinel, that being the founder of the company.
I met him once as his company bought my former employer and quickly ran it into the ground, milking it for every penny they could IMO. Then they sold it.

Follow up on the price increase for Holley products: Summit now excludes all Holley products from promotional offers...

EVERYTHING is going up. Your dollar is worth less, period (about 17% less than it was last November). And, inflation is still climbing and your dollars are falling.

Look at your food bill now, and a year ago. Electric. Water. Phone. Any of it - its ALL going up (except your paycheck, of course).

Just bought a Fel Pro head gasket set for a customer's 2011 F 150 with 3.5 V6, and my cost was about $470 !!! For a damn head gasket set ????? No head bolts included, those will be another $120 !!

They will price a lot of people out of the hobby.
I get pissed everytime to go into an O Rally or such. I know they are a public co.
