Just bought a Fel Pro head gasket set for a customer's 2011 F 150 with 3.5 V6, and my cost was about $470 !!! For a damn head gasket set ????? No head bolts included, those will be another $120 !!

Wow, what's special about the Ford? I just did a 3.4 GM engine and the Fel Pro head gasket set was $203 Canadian + $54 for the head bolts.

Special to Ford, maybe. Their great Ecoboost experiment. DOHC, 4 valve per cylinder, VVT, direct injection, and dual turbocharged. This one went 80K miles before timing chain (three of them, btw) jumped and bent EVERY intake valve.
