What all do I need or need to know about installing a sniper kit on a 383? Especially trans linkage? What about an in tank pump?

I also used Lokar for both Holy Sniper Kits. It looks better than the old linkage. And works very well. The only down side is that the cable has to run over the trans and comes back to the transmission from the back.

Yeah you'll probably need to use a Lokar setup unless you are a fab whiz. But, if you were a fab whiz you wouldn't be on here asking what to do so I guess that rules that option out. A fab whiz could modify the factory 3 piece linkage to work with a Sniper but it would require some cutting, bending and welding. The Sniper is a little bit wider than a factory Holley carb so things need to be moved out a bit. The linkage doesn't have to move much, maybe 1/2 inch.
If you haven't purchased the Sniper yet then maybe buy the Stealth Sniper. The Stealth version looks like a Holley carb and the linkage is in the same location as on a Holley. If you buy that version you should be able to use a factory linkage assembly.

I prefer the Bouchillon Performance transmission kickdown, extended throttle cable that works w stock accelerator pedal and their bracket. They are Mopar specific and fit my '67 Coronet w 383 n Fitech FI perfectly.

As for in tank pump, Aeromotive makes a good tank. I'm running stock tank w 3/8" sending unit and installed return line w long tube inside tank to avoid aeration along w inline pump. If this ends up giving me problems, then I'll invest in an in tank pump. But the baffled, in tank pumps have many benefits. All comes down to what you intend to use the car for and money.

You didn't give us any information on your car so hard to help you but assuming it is a classic Mopar muscle car you can check with Holley or TanksInc to see if they sell a Sniper fuel tank. EFI tanks are available for the more popular cars. If you have something weird then you'll have to build your own.

Where can I get this bracket? Will the kickdown still fit and work?
I am looking at using the Stealth with the in the tank pump and the factory 3/8 lines.
Thank you

Not the best picture but this uses the stock KD linkage.

See you want to use the low profile Mancini air cleaner assy. I'm going to say that you wont be able to use the stock kickdown linkage. It will hit the drop base of that air cleaner. Then I would go with a Bouchillon cable kit.

So I went back to stock kickdown linkage on my '67 383 w Edelbrock RPM intake n Fitech. Used some all thread w a coupler for both the horizontal and vertical rods. Used a bracket from Mancini to locate the manifold fulcrum mount. Then followed this video for connecting throttle and kickdown to throttle body. Works perfect, just like factory.

I am running the factory linkage on mine, with the Holley Sniper Stealth
Do you have a pic of your set up? I have a 66 charger with a 383 and Edelbrock high rise intake and I’m in the process of installing a sniper efi unit

I have a CH4B on my 440. I have a MOPAR intake to install, it's like the RPM, so I need the AR008 and a AR018(440 with Auto)

Look at the links I sent above, and let me know if it helps. You should get the AR008 and the AR036
