Fellow Mopar-enthusiasts,
A few weeks ago my fellow dedicated Dutch Mopar friends and I got together to take a peak at a Max Wedge tribute engine one of my friends had built for his 62 Plymouth Belvedere. It is based on the 440cui and backed by an A-833 four speed:
It happens to be that one of those gearheads (Basoline on this forum) found the following picture a few years back:
2014 also marks the 50th anniversary of the venerable A-833 four speed manual transmission. Our small group of friends share a common interest in the A-833 and we have the cars to back up that interest as well;)
- 1962 Plymouth Belvedere 2dr sedan MW tribute 440/4spd
- 1963 Plymouth Savoy 2dr sedan MW tribute RB 4spd (in restoration)
- 1964 Dodge 440 wagon 413/4spd
- 1965 Dodge Coronet 330 2dr sedan 383/4spd
- 1968 Plymouth Satellite 2dr hardtop 383/4spd
- 1968 Plymouth Valiant 2dr sedan 225/4spd
- 1968 Dodge Coronet 500 2dr hardtop Dick Landy tribute 528/4spd (vertigate shifter, oh yeah!)
- 1969 Plymouth Road Runner 2dr sedan 383/4spd
- 1970 Dodge Challenger 318/4spd
- 1970 Plymouth 'Cuda 440/4spd
So, to honor the engineers who made this happen back in 1964 and made it possible for all of us to enjoy the hobby some 50 years later, we decided to dress for the occasion and do a photoshoot to replicate the vintage photo above :
Introducing, from right to left:
Bas(oline) - 65 Dodge Coronet
Tommie - 62 Plymouth Belvedere & 69 Plymouth RR
Antoon - 68 Plymouth Valiant & 70 Dodge Challenger
Myself - Wishnu (SuperFlyTNT) - 64 Dodge 440 wagon & 68 Plymouth Satellite
Of course, the obligatory memes could not be left out...
We all had a great time making these photos and we try to enjoy our cars and the hobby as much as we can. Hopefully you all can appreciate our enthusiasm.
Keep grinding them gears!!!
