Every time i turn around it is something else.
One thing after another
I drop in a new motor and carb drive the car down the road 20 miles and the accelerator cable breaks.
fix that and the new u-joint c-clip works out and loose the cap and have to have the drive shaft reworked.Re-doing front suspension and the T-bars from PST 1.03" are clocked poorly-replaced with .960, Upper control arms are bad so buy nice RMS units and the ball joint studs cotter pin holes are no where near the castle nut.

I don't think i have bolted a part onto this car that has just flat out worked properly the first time.
I'm thinking this car should be called christine and i should just put her in the river and collect the insurance.

I have been into mopars for a very long time and this car has me considering getting a Chevelle or GTO

Bite your tongue. Did you say CHEVY OR PONTIAC. Once you work through the problems. It will be worth it. I have had plenty of problems with my car but FBBO members got me through it. I owe a lot to these guys and thats why I enjoy helping others. Good luck.

I own two b-bodies two a-bodies, gto, camaro, and a mustang and I can tell you they all break. They can all be a pain in the butt sometimes and they all have their own problems. I find the mopars to be the least problematic.

Boy howdy this is certinly your lucky day :pink banana:

I have a real nice river that runs right along the side of my house :icon_pirat:
I'll make all of your problems go away. Just please do not for get to sign the title when I come to help you out :evil5:

I understand that working on these old mopars can be maddening at times, finding parts, fabrication, making everything fit together and work, etc. But to me that is part of the appeal of working and driving these beautiful old beasts. Not everyone has the skill, knowledge, or just plain stubbornness to build and maintain these cars. I guess that you either have the disease or you don't. I know I'm incurable.

With that kind of luck, be very careful when you go to the urinal.

guess I am in the winners circle everything I get for my RR fits perfect and works, 90% of it from members here or from another site. I do a LOT of research before I buy, If I don't understand how it is supposed to work I ask first I f it needs to be custom I ask first. Hang in there you just need to focus on one thing at a time and yes one thing leads to another I mean hey if you bought a fully restored car than that's one thing but expect to have to replace most of the common things from the start.

One day you will be at a point to were you are just customizing your ride instead of just repairing / restoring it. Buying a chevy will only lead to blindness hahaa.

Hang in there

No kidding-Its not just the car that this very same luck applies to.

Hang in there it will get better, soon... I have own & built many of the others Brand-X cars too, they are just as stubborn, believe me, parts are easier to find & cheaper, but not any were near as cool as any Mopars... Happy Easter & Happy Moparing

My Falcon made me say a lot of cuss words today in English and Russian. My wife came out and was wondering who I was talking to as I was yelling at the engine and trans. I said just cussing at these hunks of metal. She went back inside without a word.

Its all makes that have problems so don't get too frustrated. Walk away, watch some car shows on TV until you get pissed off at how easy they make everything look, then go back outside and get to work.

That is funny right there lol and so true they do make it look so easy dam punks hhaha

You know, many years ago I restored a 67 GOAT, and the repop rear wheel well moldings fit like complete dog **** (on original rust free 1/4's) so even though brand X cars have more repop parts, I'd hardly consider that a benefit when they don't fit! Be patient as the Mopars are sooo much cooler IMO!

Reminds me what I saw over 30 years ago written on the trunk of an A990 car at the drags.

"Ain't a part made that this car can't break" !

Take a look at my thread and you will find you are not alone in the bad luck dept.

Take a few days off and have fun doing something.. then after the batteries are recharged go back after it........ These cars can be very very frustrating.. but well worth it in the end.. OR I have a 79 z28 I'll trade and you can have a cheby classic

I have had the same luck - 1 step forward - 2 steps back. But you know its getting there and starting to ride well and it puts a smile on your face.

Take a break and then go back at it and you will have some successes to keep you going.

Best Ralph

Couldn't have said it better, sometimes you just need to walk away, Continue you just get mad and then things get worse.

Hang in there guy, been there too. I've said a few choice words to "her" but in the end it's all worth it,when done and when you hit the road or the car show. When others admire your car and work you have done, just somethin special about these Mopars.

Speaking of some bad luck-me and my team of 17 people lost our jobs yesterday friday the 13th due to downsizing after 15 years. Yep the economy is getting better.
Hope the cnet don't have any further issues as now there is no money to put toward the car.:angryfire:
