Hood latch spring placement?!

Hi,
Need some help. Spring on my hood latch broke and I’m trying to rig up a new one. None of the manuals show the spring’s positioning and searching the web I came up empty. I have a ‘66 Dodge Coronet 500. This spring holds tension on the latch so it springs back after u release it and the hood pops. Thanks!

That should be easy to find (entire assembly).

I had the same problem and bought a spring at ACE Hardware and installed. I'll take a picture of mine and send to you Thursday or Friday.

I have a 67 Charger and the attached photo I took today of the spring placement on the hood latch. Hope this helps. Bought the spring at ACE hardware.
