Hood pin lanyard mounting location

I have a 69 SuperBee Spring Special with hood pins and I need a diagram or the measurements for attaching the lanyards under the hood. I have seen some pictures that show them just inside the hood bumpers - is that correct?

Why use a lanyard and risk scratching the paint, there is a hood pin that locks in place, without a lanyard . . . 747mopar used them on his car and they are awesome

I mounted mine using the furthest left and right screws that hold the grille in place.

Thanks but I am doing a stock restoration so I would like to use originals and get them in the correct spot
