Hood Pins! Do I need them?

Done. Used reproduction Hood pins for a 70 B with the rubber gaskets underneath.

Use 2 more pins between the 2 that you already have and place them 3 inches ahead of the core support. We race a couple of 67 Hemi belvederes with glass hoods.

I have the AAR hinge hood with tall Hemi scoop, 2 pins no latch. The hood doesn't lift or bow at all in front at 128 MPH. My AAR hood isn't the lightest piece, but plenty stout. The lighter, pin on style hoods probably need the extra 2 pins IMHO.

Agreed, I have not seen my AAR hood bow at all either. It does lift up in the back a bit but I think that is the slop in the factory hinges.

How much does your hood weight 66?

You're going to need 2 right in front between the 2 you have there. That front end will want to lift right off the car and tear that stock latch off the fiberglass.

Can we see some pictures of your car? Maybe 1 outta 10??
