Hood scoop owners. I have a question.

For those of you who have hood scoops how much time do you spend cleaning out the engine compartment?

I'm thinking of adding a glass hood w/ scoop but considering I live in the Pacific North wet, I occasionally get caught out in the rain. Should this even be a concern?

I block my hood scoops off with cut foam pieces I made when I wash the car. there is always som water that gets in there but I myself clean out the engine bay once a month maybe mostly due to dust from the road.

No concern at all, my Dart had a hemi scoop, it was sealed around the carb as well to make it functional...I had been caught in a few major storms and she ran great.

I have a scoop on my car and have no problems and the hood has a hole in it

I get a little road grime and since my car is white I do wipe down the engine compartment every so often but I don't mind. Never drove in the rain.

I've driven mine in the rain, 69 belvedere with 6bbl scoop. Wasn't an issue for me at all. Getting caught in a shower with DOT radials was my real issue lol.
