OK, trying to find out if anyone has used Hooker 5101 Super Competition headers (1 7/8" primary w/3" collector) on 1966-67 B-body application. I know there are fitment problems with the Hooker 5209 2" primary header on this application. Are there fitment problems with the 5101 header also? I appreciate your comments and information in advance, thanks.

Sorry,
I cant help.
I put the TTIs on my 70 Hemi Superbee AND my 63 Max Wedge clone.
The simlple reason is: They fit MOPARS.

I also have read that the Hooker 5903 1 7/8" primary Competition header also has fitment problems. Man at one time Hooker headers were probably one of the premere headers manufacturers on the market. TTI hands down make the best headers for MOPARS! I still want to find out about the Hooker 5101 fitment problems on b-bodies.

I went with TTI headers this time for my 493 and I love them. Great fit and quality product. Ron

I have a 72 and didn't have any issues with the hooker castler 2" pipe on my 440. I have a set of 5209 sc for my new motor build same 440, just a liitle bit more added. My castlers got smashed from driving darn speed bumps lol

What are castlers ??

They were a old make of hooker, back in 96, they said hooker on the box, they were cheaper then the comps and super comps. 2" prim with a 3" collector.

Matt that's interesting, I never heard of them...

robinsonwr, have you gone to Holley/Hooker/Flowtech/Weiand's & other brands website, they have a 2 page detailed instruction/installation PDF file you can see/read, what all the steps are for fitments, also there is a modification to the linkage cross shaft if you have a column shifter, pretty typical on BB/Mopars & headers on any of cheaper/less expensive brands of headers...
