Hoovie buys a Superbird

Its got a bit silent about this car. Well at least no new videos, until now...

The intro about the beep beep horn is quite funny to be honest. :D

Guys I found a barn find Superbird in my own barn!! Turns out it’s a clone and the builder scammed the barn owner!!!! He was told it’s a factory installed chromoly chassis, a scam!! I just need to make 37 stupid videos about it and get rich!! Can’t wait!! .... this Hovie guy is the one scamming the general public!

I'm personally still waiting for the "the 30k Engine in my 130k Superbird needs to be rebuilt/replaced so i got scammed way more than i thought" video. :D

So far he hooked a few things up, bought coil overs and a new vaccum pump. He knew about the "rebody".
So i say he can't complain to much. Obviously the wiring sucks (could have easily seen that inspecting the car prior to purchase by just opening the glove box) but i have a feeling there is something wrong with this hemi.

He actually denied it being a rebody, and kept saying it’s the real thing. I think what he paid reflects what he got. Not a bad deal, and a hell of a lot of fun to drive and show after sorting out.

I tried listening to it, and gave up. I’m not even a well versed guy on Superbirds... but I pointed out a lot of the things he’s complaining about in the comments before he bid. I still think he got it for a decent price.

$130K for a legit, one-of-139 Hemi Superbirds (though non-numbers matching) is a deal, even if he had to dump another $20K into it. The inherent problem when buying off ANY auction site (or at in-person auctions) is the inability to do a proper PPI. You're buying in the heat of the moment, and common sense tells the patient man to not go apeshit. Fortunately for Hoovie is that the Wizard (his mechanic) is about 30 miles from him and he seems to overcome all of the problems Hoovie buys...and he has bought a LOT of troubled cars; Ferraris, a Lambo, a Bentley, and more.

Click bait.....all of it. Hoovie's days are numbered and most people simply cannot believe that clicks gets this guy paid.....but that's the extent of his knowledge and talent. Any one of you guys as more talent and skill in your toenail than this clown's entire process.

Click on my videos... way less controversial, lol. And no drama, probably why I don’t have the subscribers he has haha

I still enjoy him but I think he's running out of money and/or jumping the shark. In his latest video about the Ferrari 458 he just bought, he rejected an annual service in favor of just an oil change, and refused to replace the underside barrier for $2500 that had been torn off the car and protects a lot of delicate exposed components (like the exposed flywheel, which apparently has no other cover). Incomprehensible choices.

Besides his YouTube channel I thought he also owned or was a part owner in restaurant chain? Unless his restaurant venture is not doing so well right now?

Wow. I guess I need a “sctick” lol
I guess I mispelled that, I meant "shtick". :)
I don't mind his Tyler's act and kudos to him for developing a Youtube channel that got the attention of cable for a show concept, but there are automotive content youtubers I'd rather see get promoted to their own cable show. And I see GYC shows on Youtube, Mark's antics probably are better suited for just a Youtube channel and not a TV show, he should be demoted to just Youtube.

I mispelled your misspelling as well. I agree with your assessment of his content in prefering many others. I get tired of the manufacturered drama of a lot of these channels. It seems the trend is starting to follow reality tv.

Well I guess Tyler's schtick has paid off for him, I was watching MotorTrend TV last night and his show came on. Traveling around buying questionable cars then taking them to Car Wizard to find out if it was a good car or a hooptie.

He did that show I think about three years ago originally. Not sure if there was a second season. Last I knew, this show was short lived for so many episodes.
