always loved the 53-56 Ford F-100
my dad had a bad *** 53, with a worked 352 FE in it
street raced all over Concord Ca in the early-mid 60's

The top pic....interesting as to
where the headers exit. Rear tires
could use a little less sidewall.
I like the 2nd pic too and the wagon is also cool....but is the wagon a hot rod....?

Last time I heard about that car is that it's all electric now.....
No Projet X, it was recenlty on HotRod Garage,
IIRC they said it was on the show circuit prior
I don't think it was ever an EV
it had a high dollar 'new reproduction' 1 of 69 (?),
N/A carbureted 430hp 427cid ZL1 all-aluminum engine in it
That car was valued at like $1.2 million,
'it was pretty much just a show car'
now,
They HRG, Tony & Lucky, took that beautiful alum. 427 out
& put a 'roots blown' LSx swap, to go back to the older vintage look
IIRC later last season, took the bigger 18" & 20" billet hoops off
& put classic 17" (to fit the brakes) Crager S/S wheels back on it
sort of, like it had before
& took the hood off, exposed the engine like it used to be
& changed the billet custom grill, back to more org.

took it out & beat the mother, doing burnouts & driving all over SoCal

You might want to do some research on it.....I may be wrong but man, they turned one popular yellow 57 into a juice car.

Was originally Popular Hotrodding's car, not HotRod. When PHR folded, it was acquired by Petersen.
First Project X story was in 1962, so its been a magazine hotrod for 60+ years!

Can only imagine what the 'picnic table' would do at high speeds lol
I actually saw it try to make a pass at Irwindale 1/8 mile. A chassis that short and narrow, and massively overpowered, it was all over the place, drove about 3/16ths to get to the finish line.... and not under power. Sometimes too much.... is too much.

this thing Coronet Truck thingy, albeit sort of the Rat Rod vibe
screams Hot Rod to me

another car from "Hollywood Knights"
Newbomb Turk's Pie Wagon

56 210 Sedan Delivery Hollywood Knights Newbomb Turk's The pie-wagon side.jpg

I love me some sedan deliveries, of ANY brand and any age! I have a 57 sd that needs ten thousand hours to look as good as that one. (Tried to buy a 58 EDSEL sedan delivery, if you can believe it, but it got away, dammit).

it's made successful passes, in A/Gas 8.50
with like 90" (or less) WB it'd be a handfull, wing (picnic table) or not

If its still got a 292 and a fordomatic, maybe not. If its got a 408 stroker, and a five speed, you bet it is. (My opinion only).
