That car is just awesome and I for one love cars without the flash. That car was in a magazine not sure what one but I do remember reading it or was it a red one hmmmmm......now I gotta go through all the mags.

Great looking car.

Neat car! Dekalb Police (Decatur, Ga.) had the twin to that car, but it was light bluse in color, the same otherwise. I tried to buy it (sealed bid) and failed the officer that drove it beat me by $50. Imagine that! I did get this 1967 Belvedere I with a 383 auto that I swapped for a 440 to go 11's back in the day, on 7" tires! Didn't always have the stickers in the windows.

That car looks just like a car that raced in october at lebenon valley drag way ny,in the fast class.Really cool.Any of the old mopar b bodys with the dog dish hub caps and a good sounding are great. They sould all have grandma's revenge wrote on the trunk lid.

I disagree.

yes the slicks are somewhat better today and even standard street radials can have pretty good traction.

However, how do you explain the NHRA stock and SS records from 40 years ago that are still within 100s of the current records for the same classes?

This is how I'll explain it. Name one, just one NHRA stock or super stock record from 40 years ago (1970) within "hundredths" of today's record...It doesn't exist.

The B/S record in 1994 was 10.55. Today it is 10.16. Hardly 40 years or only "hundredths". Also during this time period the rules were consistent.
