Was over a friend's house with a bunch of buddies. I took the 'runner for the hell of it. On the way out one acted like the guy on Pinks, flagging me to race. I left a hell of a pair of tire marks on his driveway. His wife thought the rain would wash them off (yeah, right) and is not happy they are still there. Anybody got a way to clean tire rubber off rough concrete other than sandblasting???? She's a great lady and I don't want to be banned from the house. Simple Green? Acetone? I need HELP!!!!!!

Pressure washer. Some purple power might work too. Actually i think they make for neat driveway decorations :)

I have black marks in my drive way that have been there for months! Pressure washer helped but only some. Sandblast or wire brush em....that is if they are burned in really good and mine are! :D

Easier going down then coming out

I did the same thing years ago in my grandpas garage and man was he mad, He gave me a 6 inch wire brush on a drill and made me take them off, every inch took all dang day to do it. Seriously I think sand blasting them would be the fastest easiest way.

Yup pressure washer and time like 2 seasons, sorry to hear that. My rule of thumb, never do burnouts in your own neighborhood or in your friends. stick to the track or at least country roads. Good luck

Really? :eek:ld_school:

We wanna see the car, the marks, and the lady of the house. :3some::devil1:

How about painting over them with concrete paint? The whole driveway of course.

Pics will follow tomorrow! The car and the stripes, at least...

Or go back and do the rest of the driveway and tell her it's a concrete weatherproofing sealant? :black_eye: Hmmmm....not going to work, huh? OK, then you will need to use elbow grease or a sand blaster. You can also rent a sand attachment for a pressure washer. This would be the best thing. Get a cheap bag of sand and go to it. Only thing about that is you will have two (I'm assuming sure grip) clean stripes, which will leave the rest of the driveway looking bad.

Hey, I'd have to agree with Meep; just have the rest of the crowd "scooch" over just a tad and have everyone else take turns laying down additional rubber - until the whole driveway is covered.

Then, send her a 'discounted' bill (because you like her so much) for coating her driveway ~{:>)

OK, on a serious note, the purple stuff (cleaner, with a little soak time, and a thick bristle brush) will do wonders, but as someone above noted, I just paint my driveway every couple years to cover up any staging lane foolishness my buds engage in...

I think the flagger is the guilty one here.... he caused you to have an instinctive, reflex reaction...............:icon_winkle:

Thanks! It's not NOM (but it is an original V-code car) so I don't feel bad about not keeping it exactly stock. Hey, at least I know my SureGrip is working! My buddy is going to pressure wash it off. I gave them a pile of fresh green beans and zuchini from our garden and his wife was happy so I guess all is forgiven.

a year from now, she'll be laughing about it and will probably give you a good ribbing too.

You should go there and do burnouts in the grass until she appreciates your fine Road Runner burning out in her driveway. I would be honored if your car were to burn up my concrete.
