How do i edit the text in my own thread?

I think the option to edit your post goes away after a couple weeks. I could edit mine and then all of a sudden I couldn't.

I will say that on my cell phone, I don't get that line either. Rather, to the right of the date & time you made the post are 3 vertical lines on top of each other. If you tap that, you'll get the "Edit" button.

If you are on your cell tap on the 3 lines that almost look like a box or turn your screen sideways to see the edit button.
