Easy. Just a solid "club-type" bar attached across the wheels/tires, or a vertical(s) solid bar/rod from the undercarriage to the ground. In other words, a device which prevents the dolly from rolling under the car. Me, I'd devise some mechanism to trap that dolly, so when I get to my car, I'd sledge-hammer it out of the way.

That's not going to work. The robot is lifting the steer wheels off the ground and is steering with it's own wheels.

I think he meant that device alone, unrelated to the thread topic. And yes, that device is easily thwarted, by at least two methods ( hey, you learn things as a kid growing up in Brooklyn ) .

Exactly...the trick isn't to focus on the tool, but on the steering wheel. I thought it was common knowledge by now that those were a false sense of security.

Hydraulic or electric rods the extend downwards when parking to prevent the skateboard getting under your car.

The rods will need an automatic retract function before vehicle can be started - to prevent driving away with the rods down.

Added bonus - an EMF machine to kill the robot when it gets near your car.
