I’m putting a 6.4 with an 8hp70 in a 71 roadrunner. Have many of you taken this on before? If so, any pointers?
Have lots of money ready. Don't tell the wife.If so, any pointers?
Thanks I am sure I will have countless questions.lol what are you doing for the throttle? Useing the electric one or switching the throttle Body out for a cable operated one? I am going to have to figure out how to adapt the 6.4 A/C system to the 72 charger and the power steering. I see that holley makes a transtunnel brace. But it says up to 70 Body. Going to have to see if it will work with the 72. Also going to have to see what he wants to do about the engine guages.Let me know if you have any specific questions. I will hopefully have the motor and trans in this week for a test fit to see what tunnel mods are needed. While its in there I will be getting the rest of the drive line figured out. I decided to put in the rear end out of a 2018 Challenger. It is only 1/2 an inch narrower so it should be a good fit. My goal is stock look with modern comforts. Dakota Digital is building a custom set of gauges for me with stock looking faces and will all be run off the OBD port. I approved the final design of them last week.

Do yourself a favor and look at the new Edelbrock system! The Holley wiring harness is very poorly laid out. Also the Holley and Edelbrock use the older style knock sensor and you have to buy I think 2009 crank sensor.I am doing (or will be) a 71 Charger with a 5.7 and a TKX 5 spd. I am going to be using a Holley Terminator X control system, TTI headers, TTI motor mounts. Borgeson PS box, Holley oil pan, Holley mid mount plate with the alt PS pump (which is a type II, and AC compressor), hydro-boost brake booster, 85 Mopar MC, new gen Challenger electric fans, not sure what radiator just yet.
